What SpotOn says its products do

From 10 posts on SpotOn's own blog, read 12 Oct 2026. Each sentence is SpotOn's claim in our words, numbered to the post it comes from. We have not used these systems.

How SpotOn's POS works offline

SpotOn says its POS switches to offline mode automatically when the internet connection fails.2 It says all stations, terminals and handhelds stay connected over the local network, and an order started on one device can be picked up on another.2 It says orders keep firing to the kitchen display and receipt printer.2 It says payment details captured offline are stored on the devices, and that it syncs them automatically, card payments included, once the terminal reconnects.2

On our rate card SpotOn: No monthly fee; card rate: 2.45% + 15¢.

What SpotOn says does not work offline

SpotOn says online ordering does not work while the internet is down, and it recommends pausing online ordering until the connection returns.2 It says phone orders and timekeeping are disabled during an outage.2 It says cards cannot be validated offline, so an order paid with an invalid card goes unpaid.2 It says loyalty features that need a live connection to the payment gateway, and real-time analytics, are unavailable or paused until the connection returns.2

What SpotOn says about SpotOn Order

SpotOn says SpotOn Order lets a venue update an online menu in real time across multiple locations and keep ownership of its customer data.6 It says pacing controls help keep the kitchen from being swamped.6 It says SpotOn Order connects with Order with Google and the venue's website.6 It says its Picked for You feature, built with AWS, suggests menu items from signals such as the hour, the weekday and a guest's past orders, and needs no setup.8 It says early adopters of Picked for You saw a 6% average increase in online orders.8

SpotOn's GoTo Place app

SpotOn says GoTo Place is a free mobile app where guests place takeout orders and book tables at local restaurants.9 It says the app is designed to look like the restaurant's own app, showing its name, menu and hours.9 It says a restaurant must be a SpotOn client using SpotOn Order or SpotOn Reserve, its waitlist and reservation platform, to be listed.9 It says guests do not need to download a separate app for each restaurant.7

What SpotOn says GoTo Place offers restaurants

SpotOn says the GoTo storefront can combine ordering, loyalty, a waitlist, reservations and marketing.7 It says guests can book reservations in GoTo Place with the restaurant's brand front and center.1 It says SpotOn Loyalty is fully integrated into the app, which helps a venue grow its guest list and convert first-time visitors into regulars.7 It says rewards can be customised, with automated deals such as birthday perks and win-back offers.7

SpotOn's delivery integrations

SpotOn says its direct DoorDash integration lets a restaurant accept and track delivery orders in one system.3 It says Deliverect brings third-party orders to the kitchen through one channel while keeping menus consistent.3 It says it has direct integrations with delivery providers such as DoorDash.6

SpotOn's Reddie kiosk integration

SpotOn says its restaurant management system now integrates with Reddie, alongside DoorDash and Deliverect.3 It says Reddie covers kiosks where guests order for themselves, menu boards and drive-thru menus, with hardware, software and content tied into the SpotOn POS.3

SpotOn's DayCheck tip payouts

SpotOn says DayCheck is an earned-tip tool that makes tip payouts and cash flow simpler.5 It says a manager approves tips in one click and the payouts are then sent out quickly.5 It says a restaurant does not have to prefund tips into a separate account to use DayCheck.5 It says employees see approved tips in the DayCheck app instead of waiting for payday.5

SpotOn's Visa Direct tip payouts

SpotOn says that with Teamwork and DayCheck, employers can send tip payouts straight to employee bank accounts using Visa Direct.4 It says DayCheck is available in eligible states across the United States.4

SpotOn's Profit Assist and Marketing Assist

SpotOn says Profit Assist connects to QuickBooks Online, Xero and Restaurant 365 to analyse a restaurant's P&L automatically.10 It says the tool flags spending anomalies and suggests ways to save.10 It says Profit Assist can also forecast labor and revenue with predictive insights.10 It says Profit Assist has cut restaurants' total costs by 4.3% on average.10 It says Marketing Assist creates and sends personalized campaigns from real-time guest data.10

SpotOn's Q1 2026 product updates

SpotOn says its AI Menu Assistant has been expanded so restaurants can update menus faster with less manual work.1 It says operators can have the AI apply taxes to every item or just chosen ones, and set up routing groups that direct items to the correct kitchen printer or KDS screen.1 It says restaurants can add fees by order type, covering dine-in, takeout and delivery.1 It says the Tip Template Settings page in Teamwork has been reworked, adding contextual tooltips, a new save mode and progressive reveal.1

SpotOn's support and partner integrations

SpotOn says it handles implementation and training in a concierge style and runs customer support 24/7/365.6 It says Fresh KDS is bringing kitchen performance insights into the SpotOn Dashboard.1 It says restaurants can connect Loman.ai voice automation to help handle calls.1
